OK, this might seem totally random, but I would buy one of their Cuckoo clocks if I won....one of the cheaper ones. Some of them are over $1,000! My son loves clocks and especially cuckoo clocks. :)

it's raining today where i live. we're making butternut squash bread and drinking tea. we just decorated our pumpkins. my girls are dressing as pirates for halloween.

yes- i doubted the butternut squash bread at first (i had been planning on plain ol' pumpkin), but we had a fresh squash on hand. it turned out beautifully- moist and sweet. i baked the squash with brown sugar and butter before mashing it up to add to the batter. good stuff!
