BIL Update

If you follow me on twitter or have been reading some of my previous posts, you know my brother-in-law has been in the hospital since right after Christmas. LONG story short, he has been fainting since October. He lives in Ohio but came out to NH for Christmas with my sister. He has been in the hospital out here, and my sister had to return home to work. He saw several world renown doctors in Boston and tonight he was discharged....without a diagnosis.

Their treatment plan is to retrain the brain through physical therapy, medications, and aerobic exercise. It sounds crazy, but the doctors are at a loss. They have never seen a case like his. So he will continue to be an out patient with his doctor in Boston, and he will be living out here with us until he is ready to go back home to Ohio. We are looking at a couple months, I guess. I just don't get it. He went from a normal functioning guy to not being able to take 2 steps from his wheelchair to his bed without someone on either side of him. No way to live life at 33. My poor sister is home alone and has to go work every day thinking about whether her husband is going to come home well or whether she is going to have to live her life with him progressively getting worse. It sucks...there is no other way to say it.

However, we still have hope.

Psalm 33:20
"We wait in hope for the LORD;
He is our Help and our Shield."

Psalm 130:5
"I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in His word I put my hope."

He is our hope.

I can only imagine how tough this is for all of you. The unknown is always hard to grasp.

There is always hope. I'm praying hard for you all.

It looks worse in print than when you told me . . . the 'couple months' part. Ugh. Your poor sister. And all of you.

Will continue to pray!

Well, I follow you on twitter NOW... what took me so long? :)

Will keep praying. I have a suggestion, but its a long shot... there is these amazing naturo-pathic pharmasist physicians on the radio called Len and Joe. They seem to be able to fix ANYTHING, and they take calls off air to get more info and really help people (they are Saved Christians BTW). I think you should call them and see what they say. Really. What could it hurt???
